1998-2005: Fellow, and Advisor to Masters and Doctorate candidates, at Research Institute for Fiscal Science of China's Ministry of Finance

1996-1998: Senior research officer at East Asian Institute, National University of Singapore

1997: Visiting scholar at Aarhus University in Denmark in 1997.

1992 -1993: Research assistant, focusing on European Preferential system at DG External Relations Department, European Commission, Brussels, Belgium
